Leah photo (5K)Leah Green, Founder and Director, Mid East Citizen Diplomacy; Delegation Leader, Compassionate Listening Project: Leah holds masters degrees in Public Policy and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Washington. Since 1990 she has directed Mid-East Citizen Diplomacy (previously a project of the Earthstewards Network, and now a non-profit organization). Leah has led fifteen citizen delegations to Jordan, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. Previously, she lived for two years in Israel, spending one on a kibbutz and one at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Leah began her training in Jewish-Palestinian reconciliation in 1982 at Neve Shalom/Wahat as Salaam's School for Peace, in Israel. She lectures and writes on the topic of Israeli-Palestinian peace, and has produced two documentaries: Speaking of Peace and Children of Abraham.

Andrea photo (5K)Rabbi Andrea Cohen-Kiener, delegation leader, Compassionate Listening Project and Director, Children of Abraham Educational Project: Rabbi Andrea Cohen-Kiener has degrees in Secondary Education and Hebrew Literature from the University of Minnesota. She was ordained as a rabbi in the Jewish Renewal movement in 2000. Andrea is the translator of a hasidic text on mindfulness (Conscious Community, Jason Aronson, 1995) and is the co-author of a text book on prayer education (For All Who Call, Melton Center for Research in Jewish Education). Andrea uses the tools of self-reflection and spiritual development in her work as a dialogue facilitator,on delegations and in the US.



Munteha photo (5K)Munteha Shukralla, Delegation Leader for the Compassionate Listening Project. Munteha's bi-cultural heritage (Arab and American), has led her to a deep exploration of her Middle Eastern roots. She first participated in a Compassionate Listening Delegation in 1999, and subsequently trained with the project for two years. Munteha is committed to expanding and enlarging the delegations to include more Palestinians and other Arabs, and to bringing Compassionate Listening delegations to countries throughout the Middle East. Munteha holds a BA degree in International Relations through Portland State University.

Carol photo (5K)Carol Hwoschinsky, Compassionate Listening Trainer/Group Facilitator: Carol holds Masters Degrees in Special Education and Psychology. She is a licensed counselor in private practice, an educator and a mediator. She teaches Conflict Resolution, develops diversity and conflict resolution curricula for schools and mediates for a Victim/Offender program in the courts and for community disputes. She has worked in Armenia to support dialogue and joint projects with Armenia, Karabakh and Azerbaijan. Previously, Carol taught psychology and communication in the former Soviet Union.
